Help!
I was born in Alba, Texas (as well as my Father, Alton Lee Terry and Grandfather, Nathan Henry Terry. My Dad is 93 yrs. old and reminiscesĀ a lot on Alba, the Town Square, the buildings and business in the 1920′s – 1930′s.
This is where you can help. Is it possible to get a town map of Alba showing the town lay-out during this period of time?
I appreciate any help or direction you can give me.
Thanks you very much.

It’s not much, but this bit from this 1939 highway map shows the highways and rail lines, including the M-K-T and the 10-mile-long Texas Short Line, the latter which ran between Hoyt and Grand Saline. Also below are links about the short line.
