Alonzo George Wright 1873-1907
My name is Mary Pauline Edwards-Compton and my parents reside in Quitman, Texas on what was referred as Billy Goat Hill many years ago. I am trying to gather some research on my Great-Grand Father, Alonzo George Wright. He was married to Sarah Olga Wright. I cannot find much information about his family, for example of the names of his parents or any siblings. I would appreciate anything that could be of help. I live out of state, so it is hard for me to stop in at the library.

Hi Mary, I was able to find the 1880 Wood County census record that list a Alonzo G Wright 6 yoa. Census shows head of household as being a William J Wright 44yoa, wife – Georgiann 23yoa, Ida R 10yoa, Lucy E 9yoa, Alonzo G 6yoa, Charlie G 5yoa and Jepthia 3 month.
