It is rich with information about people and events which have happened in Quitman. I wish that someone would start separate pages like this for all the towns and communities in the county. Thanks to Jane Herring‘s work with this page and to all the others who have shared memories there.
You just might be from Quitman if you can remember the Grogan Hotel, where Joe Mosley’s Tractor Co. was located, and when Stephens Street was the main north entrance into town from the Lake Quitman area.
