We’ve had a request from a visitor to the Genealogy Research Room for the location of Precinct 6 in the 1880 census. Is there anyone who can help with this?

The county records would be where you would look as the county sets the precinct lines. The old minutes of the County Court meetings are in the basement at the County Clerk office.
When you go to the county clerk office, you might talk to Kelley Price, County Clerk, who could be of assistance.
Thanks, Lou. I’ll give them a visit as soon as possible.
Deason: I can go by the courthouse, tomorrow, Thursday, and request the info, if you wish. any suggestions on who I might be looking to locate.
It is 10:25 p.m. on May 25. don’t know why my time of reply above shows what it does, guess the weather last night or a ghost come in and changed my computer posting. LOL
I looked up several old time residents of Wood Co., I believe, #6 prec. was the Little Hope community,
Peter Gunstream, Stephen Stinson, Cox, & Burnett families lived in Prec. #6, in 1880. Please reply if needed for trip to WCCH.
Great work Dorothy. I think you hit the nail on the head. I don’t see any reason to go to the court house now.
